ABOUT SHUNYO

WHO I AM

I AM – “Nothing Whatsoever”

This “Nothing Whatsoever” is beyond all thoughts & concepts, beyond all definitions and descriptions.

Thoughts can never reach it and Words can never preach it.

To See it – Be it.

Nature of “Nothing Whatsoever"

The absolute void,

A state free from thoughts,

A state of no identification,

A state of complete receptivity,

A state of total surrender to the source,

A state of total presence in each moment,

A state of complete inner-silence & stillness,

A state in which one is empty of disturbance,

The merging of the Ego with its own Essence,

Acknowledging that Reality is perfect - Just as it Is,

The pure way of looking at existence without any perception,

A state of Ultimate reality which is empty of everything, including itself.

MAHAVAKYA: THE GREAT SAYING

The below mentioned Mahavakya of the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad in Sanskrit aptly defines the true nature of “Nothing Whatsoever”.

पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदम् पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते |
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ||
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ||

Meaning in English Language

Aum!
That is whole, This is whole – as this whole is born out of that whole.
Even after removing the whole from the whole, it remains the whole.
Aum! Peace Peace Peace !

Private Sector Experience:

Beyond my public sector experience, I have a diverse corporate background with multinationals such as WIPRO, WNS, VIVO, DXC Technology etc. with a proven track record in team leadership and administration.

At an International level, I spearheaded an offshore process optimization project for Boots UK Limited, a role that stationed me at their head office in Nottingham to ensure seamless alignment between UK leadership and global teams.

Beyond my professional life, I am passionate about writing, trekking, camping, paragliding and spirituality.

I am a published author known by the pen name “Shun Yo”.

My book, “75 Missed Calls” which delves into themes of spirituality and self-discovery was showcased at the Khushwant Singh LitFest 2024.

In a world of constant distraction and noise, this book speaks to those who sense there’s something more to existence, who question the nature of reality and who yearn for authentic self-discovery. This book resonates especially with young seekers searching for meaning beyond material success.

This book is not written by me but through me. You can consider me as an empty flute through which some mysterious life-force shared its silent symphony which is articulated in words in this book.

75 MISSED CALLS

This book is just a door between the known and the unknown – so pass through it and then forget about it forever.
